Author name: Doug Fortune

Doug Fortune is a seasoned minister and author with a legacy of spiritual leadership spanning over four and a half decades. His journey in ministry began at the age of 20 at Bible College in Wichita, Kansas, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of spiritual theological pursuit. Doug has dedicated nearly 50 years to the intensive study of the Bible, including extensive work with the original biblical languages. Throughout his career, Doug has been in itinerant ministry, traveling extensively across the United States and Hawaii, Canada, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. His teachings have reached diverse audiences in both local churches and international Bible Schools, where he is known for a unique ability to bridge scholarly depth with practical spiritual application. Doug’s ministry was significantly shaped by his close associations with Dr. Kelley Varner, author of over 50 books, and Wade Taylor, author and founder of Pinecrest College in upstate New York. He frequently shared the platform with these esteemed leaders at conferences, fostering a spiritual lineage focused on the “Christ-Life” and the maturation of the believer. This focus was further refined during his tenure as the Pastor of Christ-Life Fellowship, a local congregation in North Carolina. A prolific writer, Doug is the author of 17 books that explore themes of spiritual identity, kingdom purpose, and the transformative power of the Living Word- Christ in us. His writing continues to serve as a resource for students of the Bible and ministry leaders worldwide. Currently residing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Doug remains active in his calling, continuing to produce new literature and share the insights gained from nearly half a century of devoted study and global service.
